Our Facilities

​The Sisters of IHM rejoice in extending hospitality to all who come to enjoy the peace and beauty that Wootton provides.  As you enter the building, the "Great Hall," containing a vaulted ceiling, a large stone fireplace, period furniture pieces and light fixtures, window seats, and a great staircase, sets the tone of pace and welcome for those who come to pray and reflect.  The large chapel (formerly Mr. Childs' library), the Morning Room (formerly Mrs. Drexel's office), formal parlor and large dining room are utilized by groups and individuals who visit here.  The second floor contains meeting and sharing spaces:  a conference room, a mezzanine furnished with "cozy," comfortable seating, a library and a small chapel.

CONFERENCE/MEETING FACILITIES

There are three available spaces, allowing for group size and desired atmosphere.

​Conference Room
This room on the second floor can accommodate up to 60 people in theater style or 30 at tables.  The room is equipped with Wifi availablity.

Small Conference Room
This space can accommodate 15-20 people around a large conference table.

Porch
This enclosed space is a cozy and bright room for conferences, sharing, prayer, etc.  It is furnished with comfortable couches, chairs and windows that allow a view of the beautiful grounds.

OTHER FACILITIES

Main Chapel
Located on the first floor, the main chapel can be utilized for prayer sessions, private prayer (with or without Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament) and Mass.

Small Chapel
This room is located on the second floor.  It contains 14 comfortable chairs for private prayer and reflection.

Dining Room
The dining room is on the first floor and can seat 50 people.  For day conferences/retreats, Continental Breakfast and lunch are served here.

Parlor
The formal parlor on the first floor is a charming room which can be used for small group discussion or reflection.

Library
Located on the second floor, the library contains a large table and period chairs.  This space is used for discussion sessions, for perusing the books on the shelves or for sitting at the window and enjoying the beauty of nature.

"Sunset Room"
This is a small room on the second floor and, like the parlor and the library, can be used for sharing sessions or for reflection.

Mezzanine
This comfortable and cozy space can serve several purposes:  small group discussion, reflection, reading or relaxing.

Outside Veranda
The outside porch can be accessed via the indoor porch and wraps around half of the building.  The veranda itself contains tables and chairs (in spring and fall) for reflection, relaxing and/or appreciating God's goodness in the beauty of nature.

Grounds
The setting of Wootton mansion is one of beauty and peace.  Acres of land surrounding the mansion contain trees of all kinds, a grotto and plenty of space for walking.
